PRIMUS

The Primus is a smaller profile imitating a small baitfish or minnow. Designed to be versatile, it has multiple actions depending on the speed of retrieval and force of rod shakes. With soft rod twitches, it has a tight shimmering roll. With standard rod shakes, it has a very unique HUNTING-TYPE ROLL with just enough flash to get a fish's attention, and with hard and fast rod shakes, it has a very erratic roll with a wide left-to-right hunting action. In addition to being a great Damiki/Midstrolling bait, it also makes a great bladed jig trailer and mini scrounger minnow. As well as being a great drop shot profile due to its subtle tail action. It has proven its salt when the money is on the line as a prototype; winning the 2025 TN High School State Championship.

RECOMMENDED JIG HEADS

 1/16th to 1/2 oz (90-degree line tie) ball head jig

 Tungsten jig heads are a great option due to their density, allowing them to show up well with forward-facing sonar.

 8 lb line is a great selection for midstrolling and dropshotting the Primus.
